Pink Paislee ~ Bayberry Cottage

Pink Paislee really went for the vibrance this release.  Today, I'm working with the Bayberry Cottage Deluxe Kit from the Shoppe.  The purply-pink, blues and lime greens just scream Spring to me.

I decided to scrap the wonderful joy of having a digital camera and using some of those well...oops photos...that we can see right on the spot and immediately keep clicking that camera til we get just the right picture.  Anatomy of an Easter photo came about due to the fact, that it is almost virtually impossible to get a 4 and 5 year old to smile AND look at the camera at the same time.  "Look up please...both of you look up...now smile...um, eyes open?  Both of you, look right here at this little circle and on the count of three, open your eyes and SMILE!!!  Are we done yet???  I give up!"  Here is the result:

What's a layout without a Martha Stewart border punch.  Here I used the Layered Arches combo set to create the photo mat.

And then to complete the layout, I added lots of beautiful embellies from the kit, including those gorgeous Say it in Pearls and Roses mini swirls.  The shoppe is carrying lots of the beautiful Prima flourishes and swirls in several colors.

So, before you just gloss over those "mistake" photos...why not create a fun layout using them instead.

It's finally here! Tim Holtz!! Well... most of it...

Meet my new favorite guilty pleasure... "A Compendium of Curiosities" by Tim Holtz.  A cup of coffee and any free moment I have is spent perusing this new book filled with the perfect amount of distressed goodness.

What a great pairing! Tim Holtz and Sizzix have teamed up to bring you new dies and embossing folders!

One of my personal favorites is the Tattered Florals....just think of the possibilities. ;)

Leaps and Bounds!

Here's a super simple layout using one of the gorgeous papers from the Webster's Pages~ Lullaby Lane~ Deluxe Scrapbook Kit. These papers are so detailed that your really only have to add some pictures and you would have a wonderful layout.

I used all of the big prima flowers in this kit on an earlier layout so I wanted to show you that you can make your own blooms pretty easily.

I cut flowers shapes (3 at 1.5 inches and 2 at 1 inch for each flower) from the bazzill bling cardstock included in this kit. After punching a hole in the center of each flower, I sprayed each one with Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist until completely saturated and crumpled them up, tightly.  I un-crumpled and layered five flowers (2 smaller on top) and secured with a brad.  Then I foofed them till I liked the way they looked.  I used a heat gun to "set" each flower and attached a Prima Grape leaf that I had misted with glimmer mist.  Although they sound like a lot of work they are really super simply and add so much dimension to your page.  Go ahead and give them a try.

Still playin' in the Cosmo Cricket Garden

Okay, I am still playing in the garden and having a blast. This Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety 6 x 6 pad is just the funnest paper ever! Here are two quick layouts I finished up this week. On the first one I used 2 sheets of Bo Bunny Double Dot for the base.

I cut a scallop shape out of the yellow and layered it over the blue. I will use the cut out on another layout – waste not, want not! The grass is cut from the Zooballoo and the font is from the All Mixed Up cartridge.

I just love these Chicks from the Garden Varitey Ready Set Chip sticker sheet. I also love love love the 6 x 6 red paper with the chicks on it! And I think the fat little bows are the perfect accent to finish off this super simple layout!

This second layout was super simple too! I love the all green color scheme. My ugly avocado green bath tub actually looks good on this layout! LOL

The background paper is from DCWV Garden party stack. It coordinates beautifully with the 6 x6 polka dot paper from the Garden Variety stack. And the cute little pea chip board stickers and boarder ~ forgetaboutit!

The title is cut from the New Arrival Cartridge and the lace boarder is a Fiskars punch. Green organdy ribbon , Prima Esprites and a bit of green Stickles finishes this layout. Super simple, super cute!

Graphic 45 ~ Le' Romantique

So I'm a touch late with my normal Thursday post but hopefully this will have been worth the wait.  After receiving the stunning Graphic 45 Le' Romantique Deluxe kit, my wedding shower gift problem was instantly solved.  Little did I know how long finishing it would take me.  Ha ha.  Below is an 8 page album using the Deluxe kit.

Take a look through the album below to see all the gorgeous papers from this line. On the front cover, I used the Tarnished Brass Crackle Paint to rough up the edge and finished off the corners with Idea-Ology Photo Corners.  All flourishes throughout were created with Liquid Pearls on transparency paper.

The album is filled with verses from the Bible that come in handy in a new marriage.  They come in handy in an older marriage too!

Chandelier stamp is by Inkadinkadoo.  All border punches used are Martha Stewart border punches.

And my final page, although I didn't do much to it, because I loved the paper so much.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter this weekend!
