My Little Shoebox Sugar High

Sugar high, indeed! Find something salty to munch on when you are working with this adorable paper...you won't need anything sweet! Abounding with strawberries, flowers and butterflies, but in rich fall colors, it is perfect for autumn memories. I also like to think of using butterflies to represent change, or growth, so I used this paper to capture a moment when I new what my daughter was going to be like in her older years (help...please!!). I also created my own embellishments by cutting out some of the butterflies, then covering the wings with glue and adding tiny glass marbles. The bodies are covered with Stickles, then popped off the page. Enjoy!

Fancy Pants...About A Boy!

"I have a SON"
If you scrap pictures for a little boy, I don't know if you noticed (like I have) that the colors are b-o-r-i-n-g compared to most of the papers for girls. My little guy LOVES bright colors (think a full blown tantrum over wanting hot pink sunglasses...Mommy won that one!) and I was so excited to see these papers. These papers have a great vintage look and vibrant colors, a perfect combination for any page "About A Boy"! Great names too...are you a sucker for paper names like me? (This also works for paint colors...sometimes I pick paint based on their names...Boticelli Red comes to mind). These names are wonderful, "Rockin'", "Chillin'" and "Expression" are the ones I chose for this project.

Easy Pink Paislee and Melissa Frances Christmas Card

Some days I am a lucky girl! This was one of them when I had the opportunity to create something with the Vintage Moon Collection from Pink Paislee, a few items from Melissa Frances, Bo Bunny and Prima.
This was a super easy and quick card! I cut the paper (beautiful vintage inspired papers with lovely names: "Harvest Moon" and "Full Moon" were the ones I chose for this card. ( I know it's probably designed for autumn...but it spoke winter to me this day!)) inked the edges, attached one of the vintage labels from Melissa Frances Winter's Day stickers, accented with Prima flowers and leaves, then I added Stickles accents for some "bling" (this girl has gotta have some bling!) The accent paper are from Bazzill Black and Bo Bunny Double Dot Wild Berry Red. Super quick!

I can practically smell the hot chocolate!!

Little Yellow Bicycle and the Beach

Oh, what fun! I loved using the Little Yellow Bicycle paper in the Layout! When I first saw the paper, it didn't speak "beach" to me...I actually wanted to use it on a baby layout. I know when I find a beautiful paper, I just hoard it, take out occasionally, and think "it's way too pretty to cut", then put it away. That's how I felt about the LYB Blue Lace paper. But, I wanted something in the background of this LO, not too distracing since I love my pictures to be the focal point, and it just worked. So, I sacrificed it! Totally worth the sacrifice :-)

Parlez-Vous Francais?

Unfortunately most of my high school french has gone home to Paris. I am sure you can understand... you just have to let some of those things go so that you can remember to... feed the dog, take the library books back, pick the kids up from school... you get the idea. ;) I do remember enough to say that this paper is tres magnifique! Beautiful bold patterns and colors make Rouge de Garance one of my favorite papers to scrap with.
