Prima, Prima, Prima...we just can't get enought of Prima here at Lil' Lambs Boutique!!  Tammy sent me THIS beautiful Prima Kit, Flights of Fancy.  Seriously...*drool*  And I sooooo wanted to just stare at it all day...so I created something I DO get to look at all day!  (sorry for the lack of pretty background...)

I know people have been altering clip boards for ages, but this was my first!  I loved it!  But, PLEASE, can someone tell me...do you take the clip off before you cover it...then re-attach somehow??  I had to work around the clip, and that was not fun.

But look at the Prima goodness...just soak it all in!

Oh, have you seen the Prima's Tammy has been getting into the Boutique???? Are they not amazing?  I just couldn't resist making some into hair clips for my daughter :0)

These Prima's come with only 2 leaves, and I needed another large one to cover the end of the clip.  The leaf I had was the wrong color, so out came my handy-dandy Copic's!  (I've now heard of people using their copics to fix bleach spots on their clothes...since they are permanent.  AND I've heard about people fixing furniture scratches too! )  I scribbled to the side so I could see the color, then simply started layering color onto the leaf :0)

When it was dry (only takes a second with Copics), I glued everything on to a clip!

My daughter LOVES them, and they are soooooo cute!  Do you think an almost 40 year old Mommy could wear one??

Hello all!  Here's a sweet little project I wanted to share with you using the beautiful new Little Yellow Bicycle line called "Sweet Love" Tammy is now has the paper kit in stock HERE. I see she has some beautiful kits with this paper too...HERE and a Card Kit HERE!

I love the vintage feel and colors, very soft and romantic. Although it does have sweet little hearts, little love birds and lovely written quotes, it doesn't have to be for Valentines projects alone!  Here's an example of a little gift that could be for any time of the year!

Using my JustRite stamps (found HERE), and my Copic markers... I created these sweet little seed packets.  I used the LYB paper to create a simple belly band of paper, filled the glassine bag with seed packets, and attached my JustRite label.  I finished it off with a coordinating ribbon.  I let my son write his name on a little tag, and give it to his preschool teachers as a little Valentine surprise!  They just loved them!   Cute for Valentine's Day, but perfect for any time you want to give a sweet person a sweet little card or gift!

We all love Webster's Pages!!  The funky, yet vintage images are what draws us back time and time again.  I fell in love with their latest release, On the Boardwalk...and Tammy has created an amazing Kit of the Month from the paper, plus added all sorts of vintagey embellishments and ribbon to jump start your creativity!

I combined a challenge from Moxie Fab World (creating some sassy Anne Taintor style cards) with this kit...and here and the cards I have created so far!  What fun :0)

Well, it seems that everyone is tired of winter paper, and ready for spring! I guess that's why the LLB design team all seem to be reaching for our bright and fun papers :0) Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry seems to be very popular right now! It's a lovely late fall day here in North Carolina...one of those rare 70 degree November days. The last of the leaves remind me that it is still fall, with Christmas just around the corner! Here's a perfect little project full of Christmas JOY!

Tammy sent me THIS amazing Deluxe Kit by Webster's Pages "Home for the Holidays" to play with. Ok, OK...truth be told, I begged for the opportunity to work with this paper :0) So beautiful, very vintage Christmas...gives me the "warm and fuzzies" just looking at it! I love to cut apart Webster's Pages and use the lovely elements anywhere I please.


This project started with THIS Kaiser Craft Joy sign.

Here's how I did my project:

1. Paint the JOY sign cream.
2. Trace the letters onto one piece of paper, cut and adhere with Modge Podge.
3. Cut out my favorite elements from the paper and Modge Podge into place. I also used the fabric elements...but treated them the same as the paper.
4. Ink the edges.
5. Cover the piece with Rangers Distress Paint Rock Candy to age and crackle the entire piece...and while wet, lightly sprinkle glitter all over.


I have the perfect room to put this in! I love to decorate with deep red, and always have at least one small room in my house "Botticelli Red". This little sign will be so lovely in my 1/2 bath, just over the sink!

Hello all!

I wanted to share a quick little project I did using my JustRite Stamps alphabet! These stamps come with three different sizes of letter, and for this I used the 95 pt size. It is sooooo great to have individual letter stamps this large!

As you can see if my picture, I have some lovely Flow Blue China that I inherited from my Great Grandmother. It's the real deal :0) So, it only makes an appearance a few times a year, Thanksgiving being one of them! I did not want to detract from my china, and I love the juxtaposition of the natural elements with the formal...so, using a Tall Gable Box cut from acetate, I created my Thanksgiving place cards.


To create my leaf, I die cut it from a Spellbinder die (using red card stock), drew lines and shadows with my Copics, then gave them two coats of Rock Candy by Ranger (I can't stop using this stuff!!!!). They actually look like real leaves with the crackle the Rock Candy created!


The kiddos and I gathered tons of acorns to fill our boxes (*note to self* always cook acorns on low heat in the oven to prevent them all from sprouting. ask me how I figured this out :0) ) I simply tied jute around the box, added my leaf, and stamped our initials onto a tag using my alphabet set from JustRite Stampers.




Are these not the most beautiful acorns?? Oh, how I do love fall!

Tammy sent me THIS adorable paper kit from Fancy Pants called "Christmas Magic". I just fell in love :0) Look at that HUGE snowflake!! How could you cover that up?? Most of this paper I just want to frame and hang on the wall :0)

I used some of THESE Prima Holly Leaves. They were not quite the right color, so I spritzed them with Glimmer Mist...

Now, you scrappers out there...how do you handle doing the same picture for different albums?? I try not to do this, but I love these pictures of my kiddos from last year, so I decided to scrap them twice...one for each of their albums.



Does everyone do this?? Scrap the same picture more than once?? Do you do the exact layout twice (or 3 or 4 times?)

I used some of THESE super cool Dew Drops from Robin's Nest. (I sooo want to use these for the center of a flower!)
So, one wonderful paper line gave me two very different looking layouts! Hmmm...only took me 10 months to scrap last year's Christmas photos...maybe I can be a little faster this year!

Wow, have you seen the new Basic Grey paper from Eerie?? It is sooooooo cool! Now, I am a fan of Halloween, and it is one of my favorite things to scrap too. But, I seem to always start with cards.

Here are the first two cards I've created...just since yesterday :0)


Now, I also got to play with a few new items to Lil Lamb's Boutique, (I know, I'm a lucky girl!)...Tim Holtz Rock Candy (be still by heart!) and the Floral and Stone Impressability Die by Spellbinder HERE. You would believe how fast I ripped into that Impressability!! I've been experimenting on everything! First, I did go to the Spellbinder Blog and learned how they create with them HERE, then I started doing my own thing! I cut the pumpkin from Oval Spellbinder Die, using felt, then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist...THEN ran it through the Impressability! What a cool effect this created. I did sandwhich two pieces of typing paper to blot up the extra Glimmer Mist.


On to Rock Candy. Yummy stuff, let me tell you! I colored the bat with my Copic Marker, then covered it in Ranger's Distress Stickles Rock Candy. I hand cut the pumpkins eyes and nose, then touched it with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, Rock Candy. Can you see all of the cool cracking technique?? I will be using this stuff on everything!!!




Here's another I created just using the paper, and a fabric bow!

I just love this paper by Bo Bunny...St. Nick...I am still creating with the KIT that Tammy sent me!

I took some scraps and die cut the tags with Spellbinder Nestabilities, colored my image with Copics (can you see the glitter??? It's so hard to capture in photographs... That was drawn with a Copic Atyou Spica. My heart is all a-flutter when I use those. The glitter is micro fine! Here's a tip...all Copic's you can store vertical since they are air tight EXCEPT for the Spica! These need to be stored horizontal so the tips will not clog with the glitter!)


I used ribbon scraps from the kit, along with the Prima Flowers to decorate the top of my gift bag. I cut the green flower apart and used it as "leaves".

The bag is just a glassine bag that I embossed with an embossing folder :0)

Christmas is less than 100 days away! :0)

So Christmas is only 105 days away. I think I can get a few Christmas cards done this year....if I start NOW. :0)

Vintage Santa's are just my favorite images for Christmas, so when I got this Deluxe Kit from Lil Lambs Boutique, (from Bo Bunny, appropriatly called St. Nick )I had my inspiration!
I know most people love to make scrapbook layouts with kits...but I love cards, so I typically do my cards first...layouts later. But, you could easily make your layout first, then use the scraps to make a few Christmas cards!

I especially love the Prima bling! I cut it apart so I could use it for several projects (yes, you are allowed to cut things....)It's called Prima Holiday Lights Spray...and comes in the kit along with some beautiful lace...

So, it's August. Are you ready to start working on those Christmas cards and layouts? No? You mean 90 degrees doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit? I have a hard time scrapping/card making out of my current season. So I was looking for a way to use this amazing paper by Bo Bunny, called St. Nick,
for something besides Christmas! How about for an apple card! Red and green are classic Christmas colors, but you CAN use them for other projects too...take a look-see:



It's a great way to use up Christmas scraps!

Of course, I used my Copic Markers to color in the apple stamp! The Copic Markers are on back order right now, but Tammy should be getting a shipment in soon...

Cosmo Cricket has done it AGAIN. How?? How do they come out with the cooooolest paper time and time again? How? Oh, I guess I shouldn't worry, and just be happy they do!

Tammy created a wonderful kit using Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love and some wonderful coordinating goodies (bling AND buttons!) to go along with the beautiful paper. Full of fall colors, clouds, spots, dots, stripes and cute sayings, the paper does not disappoint! It made me think about back to school, so I am trying hard to catch up with my school scrapping! Here's the page I made from the kit

I wanted to show another card I finished using this cute, cute Early Bird line by Cosmo Cricket! It's all on sale...now's the time to stock up! I colored this little mouse using my Copic's! I know Tammy's all sold out right now, but we can cross our fingers that she will get more in soon!

Tammy at Lil Lambs Boutique sent me some suuuuper cool stuff to play with! When I saw this plain recipe stand, I about fell out of my chair! I couldn't wait get a chance to alter it so it would match my kitchen! Kaiser Craft Recipe Stand
and used THIS great kit full of Websters Pages and created this:


To get the "cherrywood" look, I used three different Glimmer Mist's. First I sprayed with Juneberry Wine, then Graphite and last Coffee Shop. I sprayed then brushed the Mist all over the project in layers to get that reddish brown to match my kitchen cabinets!


I LOVE Webster's Pages paper, but my main issue is that they are too pretty to cut. So I started with my favorite full sheet (that I couldn't bring myself to cut) and added lots of cut outs from other sheets. I inked the edges of everything, then painted around each label with more Glimmer Mist so it added more dimension. I used my Copic Markers to color in the apron and top of our lovely cook! Finally I Modge-Podged the entire thing


For a finishing touch, I added Tim Holtz Metal Corners (also in the kit) on the bottom. It is now sitting on my butler's pantry waiting for a recipe!!
