Basic Grey & Pink Paislee

I was working with the Green at Heart Class Kit from Basic Grey.  They always come up with wonderful layouts that you can create, however, I also like the challenge of using the kit to come up with a new look.  Here, I took half the elements in the kit to create this page about Sisters.

I used a stencil to create the die cut background and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The edge of the circle photo mat is the patterned paper, cut into strips and folded into pleats.  The Take Notes circle tag was perfect for my title. Each Take Note tag has an optional overlay (such as the flower pattern below).

I used the Pink Paislee 365 Degree Deluxe Kit to create this fun Fair page below.  The colors in this kit are so fun and bright.  I created a 12" swirl as a background for my photos.  After printing off the photos, I cropped them and added them to the swirl background, letting the edges of the photos overlap the ends.  After fixing all the photos to my template, I trimmed the edges into the swirl pattern.  I added a title, journaling a few embellishments and my quick and easy page was complete.

Finishing up my Pink Paislee Queen Bee

Like I said in the last post I just adore this KOTM and I am a little sad that all of my Pink Paislee ~ Queen Bee Delux kit is gone. :( I was able to make another layout using the Cricut Create a Critter and the Keystone Font Cartridge. The embelishments in this kit are amazing, especial the Prima Say it in Pearls and Roses!

I used the Cricut Create a Critter to cut the frame, bee and hive.

I love the Pink Paislee Expressions Chipboard Alpha Stickers and although as with any chipboard stickers there wasn't enough to say everything I wanted, I was able to match the font fairly well using the Cricut Keystone font.

I just love the way this layout turned out. Although the embellies are a bit feminine, the colors just felt masculine so it worked out perfect for my sweet little son!

I took all the left over bits and made this card.

I used the Cricut Preserves Cartridge for the pear. Isn't it just the cutest? The sentiment is from the Clear Dollar set Tangy Trio. I spritzed the Prima Leaf with Psst... Shimmer Spritz Gold to add just a bit of glitz and finished it off with a cream colored sateen bow!

Pink Paisley ~ Queen Bee

Luscious ~ that is the only way I can describe the Pink Paislee ~Queen Bee ~Deluxe Scrapbook Kit.  The colors are muted and lovely and the embellishments are divine! As I was opening the Prima Debutante Stem I noticed how cool the packaging was and couldn't bear to just toss it.

Instead, I cleaned the sticker off of the back, cut a heart out the Honeycomb Paper and adhered it to the back with spray glue and cut the excess off.

Just look how pretty it looks with the Pink Paislee Expressions Chipboard Alpha Stickers on it.  I love the distressed look of these beautiful letters.

I like to use my Xyron sticker maker on thin ribbon like the pretty dingle ball ribbon included in this kit.  It makes it a snap to put down.

And just look how beautiful it all came together.  I cant wait to use the rest of this beautiful paper and all the beautiful embellishments!

Pink Paislee ~ Bayberry Cottage

Pink Paislee really went for the vibrance this release.  Today, I'm working with the Bayberry Cottage Deluxe Kit from the Shoppe.  The purply-pink, blues and lime greens just scream Spring to me.

I decided to scrap the wonderful joy of having a digital camera and using some of those well...oops photos...that we can see right on the spot and immediately keep clicking that camera til we get just the right picture.  Anatomy of an Easter photo came about due to the fact, that it is almost virtually impossible to get a 4 and 5 year old to smile AND look at the camera at the same time.  "Look up please...both of you look up...now smile...um, eyes open?  Both of you, look right here at this little circle and on the count of three, open your eyes and SMILE!!!  Are we done yet???  I give up!"  Here is the result:

What's a layout without a Martha Stewart border punch.  Here I used the Layered Arches combo set to create the photo mat.

And then to complete the layout, I added lots of beautiful embellies from the kit, including those gorgeous Say it in Pearls and Roses mini swirls.  The shoppe is carrying lots of the beautiful Prima flourishes and swirls in several colors.

So, before you just gloss over those "mistake" photos...why not create a fun layout using them instead.

365 Degrees is just plain hot!!

Pink Paislee has come up with some beautimous papers in their 365 Degree collection and the 365 Degree Deluxe kit available in the Shoppe just makes your mouth water.  I just received some of the new kits in the mail yesterday, started and finished this up today.

The porch scene (stamp by Inkadinkadoo) is colored with Copic markers that I also found in box yesterday.  What a happy mail day!!

The envelope was made using one sheet of the double sided paper from the kit, along with the lace and Prima blossom.  I added shimmer to the flourishes and blossom using Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz also found in the kit. Information on the envelope tutorial can be found here, on my blog.

Now Mom-in-Law's card is done and complete.

It's Pink Paislee time!

Pink Paislee scrapbook paper kits are now in stock and ready to ship! They have three beautiful new lines and we will be making deluxe kits out of all of them.  They will be listed in the shoppe within the next few days. We also have the long awaited Artisan Elements and will be listing them soon as well!

We've also added more products to the Bargain Bin and Clearance sections.  They won't last long!
Have a great week!

Pink Paislee is a hit with Amber Road

Aside from the fact that the color combination is gorgeous in this Amber Road paper kit by Pink Paislee, look at the patterns and designs. I love the look of the red damask patterned paper, the shape of the die cut paper and incredible journaling cards. It has it all.

Before I used the vibrant, red flip side of the jouranling cards sheet, I made sure I cut out all the cards I would use first. After doing that, I didn't need to worry about how much of the red paper I used. Strip piecing on your layout gives you the ability to use many of the patterns in your paper kit, without using a lot of paper. More paper equals more layouts and that gives you a nice return for your dollar!

I frequently choose a lot of my embellishments straight from the patterned paper itself. The tree blossoms were easily cut out with my exacto knife (I highly recommend a Swivel Exacto Knife). I popped up about 3/4 of the flowers with pop dots to give nice dimension to my layout.

If you are not a fan of the one picture per layout style that is out right now, then add additional "sound bytes," as I call them. Choose several photographs and crop them into 2" squares. They are an easy addition to your layout without significantly changing your design.

Happy Scrapping!

Quick & Captivating Pink Paislee

I love the names almost as much as the paper. Fascinating, Enchanting, Captivating.... that's what this quick layout was made with.... Captivating. I chalked and distressed all of the edges. Then I cut out the flowers from one of the patterned papers in the kit and layered them so that they would frame the photo. Next, I took some white flowers from the Prima White Pillar Pack, dabbed some clear stickles in the centers and glued them onto the vine I created from the cut out flowers. Then, I cut up some Prima Say It In Crystals and intertwined them through the vine. A cute and quick little layout for a cute and captivating little cowgirl.

Have a great weekend!

Pink Paislee~Winsome Collection

Of the new companys we've added over the past year... I have to say that Pink Paislee is one of my favorites. Their unique and vintage inspired designs are so much fun to work with.

What's not to love??

She's gone BATTY! Pink Paislee and Glimmer Mist

I've been playing with my Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Mist screens and have had the best time!! I wanted to do a super simple Halloween layout of my daughter highlighting her bat costume, but it needed some magic. I wanted to mimic some of the swirls on the Pink Paislee paper. So I took the Fanciful Glimmer Screen swirl , laid it on my already torn out moon, sprayed Gold on the moon to get the swirl effect, then quickly flipped the screen over (with the wet Glimmer Mist on it) onto the black Pink Paislee Vintage Moon. Sooooooo cool! Glimmer Mist is my new favorite thing. I joke that I spray everything, and seriously wonder if I could spray it in my hair :-).

Easy Pink Paislee and Melissa Frances Christmas Card

Some days I am a lucky girl! This was one of them when I had the opportunity to create something with the Vintage Moon Collection from Pink Paislee, a few items from Melissa Frances, Bo Bunny and Prima.
This was a super easy and quick card! I cut the paper (beautiful vintage inspired papers with lovely names: "Harvest Moon" and "Full Moon" were the ones I chose for this card. ( I know it's probably designed for autumn...but it spoke winter to me this day!)) inked the edges, attached one of the vintage labels from Melissa Frances Winter's Day stickers, accented with Prima flowers and leaves, then I added Stickles accents for some "bling" (this girl has gotta have some bling!) The accent paper are from Bazzill Black and Bo Bunny Double Dot Wild Berry Red. Super quick!

I can practically smell the hot chocolate!!
