Sweet Love

Sometimes you run across papers that are so pretty you just don't need to do alot to them to create beautifule layouts.  That is the case with Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Love Paper Kit  The papers in this keit are shimmery with just a hint of glitter.  So Pretty!

Little Yellow Bicycle ~ Sweet Love

Hello all!  Here's a sweet little project I wanted to share with you using the beautiful new Little Yellow Bicycle line called "Sweet Love" Tammy is now has the paper kit in stock HERE. I see she has some beautiful kits with this paper too...HERE and a Card Kit HERE!

I love the vintage feel and colors, very soft and romantic. Although it does have sweet little hearts, little love birds and lovely written quotes, it doesn't have to be for Valentines projects alone!  Here's an example of a little gift that could be for any time of the year!

Using my JustRite stamps (found HERE), and my Copic markers... I created these sweet little seed packets.  I used the LYB paper to create a simple belly band of paper, filled the glassine bag with seed packets, and attached my JustRite label.  I finished it off with a coordinating ribbon.  I let my son write his name on a little tag, and give it to his preschool teachers as a little Valentine surprise!  They just loved them!   Cute for Valentine's Day, but perfect for any time you want to give a sweet person a sweet little card or gift!

Thanks for stopping by Lil' Lambs Boutique!

Can I get a round of applause...

....for Cheryl and Catherine, the amazingly talented design team here at LLB? Even with the craziness that was this past summer they trudged on and kept the inspiration coming.
We've been chatting and we are at a point where we are considering adding another design team member (or two)! We are still working out the details but would love to hear from you if you would like to be considered for the position. Send me an email or leave a comment on this post with your name, a link to your blog and any other information that you would like us to know. We can't wait to hear from you!
It's been a while but I did a little scrapping this week! Yay! I was asked to do a custom order for some voice recorders. I haven't been taking custom orders because the business side of the shoppe has been consuming me but decided to take these on to try to get back in the groove. It's therapy, right??!
I made this using the new Fancy Pants Dancing Girl Deluxe Kit. This collection is so whimsical and fun to work with!

This next recorder was made using LYB's Safari Girl Deluxe Kit... it even includes the voice recorder! Don't let the name fool you... it's great for babies but is so versatile for other themes as well! Plus, it's on sale right now!

Have a great weekend!

Little Yellow Bicycle - Fresh Print Traveler

If you haven't seen the new Fresh Print Traveler line by Little Yellow Bicycle...you simply must. I love that they've stayed true to the boldness of their patterns yet have added a simple elegance to this particular line in theme and color choice.

Although my first thought was to grab my Arizona vacation pictures and utilize the earthiness of the color scheme, I quickly realized that I'd rather capture the elegance from the papers to scrap a friend's wedding. There is really such diverse possibilities with this paper kit.

Good news! All Little Yellow Bicycle products are 40% off this week! Now's your chance to try out this elegant paper!

Join me on the Prima Playground!

Isn't this a beautiful layout? This page was created by Donna Salazar from Prima Marketing for this month's Playground Project. They have put together a kit that includes instructions and most of the items needed to create this layout. All of the product used on this layout is from Prima's Winter release at CHA! Items included: Mommy & Me patterned paper, Flirty glittered patterned paper, Alter Ego chipboard, Bonnet Blooms, Petit Fleur vine, Festive Flower refills, and Build a Bauble gems. Items that are used in this layout that are not included in this kit: alcohol inks, black archival ink, miscellaneous collage stamps, glimmer mist, stickles, and glaze. These are available now but in limited supply!
I just received word that we will also be getting a shipment in from BasicGrey (yes, the new POTM kits will be included), Little Yellow Bicycle and Crate Paper! They should be in by the end of the week so keep your eyes open!

Christmas Magic ~ Little Yellow Bicycle

So I hear you might have some holiday pictures to scrap? Say it isn't so! Well, you are doing better than I am if you are working on this year's pictures. This picture was from 2006 but I had been holding onto it because I just couldn't find the right paper to use with it. Luckily, this year Little Yellow Bicycle came out with a line that worked perfectly. I just loved the die cut paper and traditional feel of this "Christmas Magic".

I finished this off with some die cuts from the 8 x 8 LYB diecut tablet, some Prima Say it in Crystals and the perfect saying from Melissa Frances' ticket book.

I was also able to try out Tim Holtz's fragments. Just glued a circle right onto the die cut using glossy accents and made an adorable ornament.

Have fun scrapping those family memories... it's why we do this... right?? The fun embellishments and techniques are just a bonus. ;-)

It's not just for tutus....

Tulle- It's not new but now it's being used in new ways and is all the rage in scrapbooking! Bazzill just released tulle in 12 new colors and in 3 inch rolls making it easy and fun to use in all of your projects! Check out all of the different ways we've been able to use it... In this page made with Little Yellow Bicycle (Zach's Life) paper, I used it flat to add a neat texture that helps the monochromatic title pop and giving it a touch of color.

I used it here as an accent for the title which doesn't draw away from the gorgeous Fancy Pants Designs (All Fall) paper.

Use it for your small gifts and for a bow on your presents when you are in a pinch! Here I used it to wrap this Magical Reindeer Food packet. This was made using Basic Grey's new Christmas line (Wassail).

Use it for your photo mats....
allowing you to still see the picture but adding a fun and elegant touch as seen here using Fancy Pants Designs (Happy Holidays) paper.

The possibilities are endless! How will you use your new tulle??

Little Yellow Bicycle and the Beach

Oh, what fun! I loved using the Little Yellow Bicycle paper in the Layout! When I first saw the paper, it didn't speak "beach" to me...I actually wanted to use it on a baby layout. I know when I find a beautiful paper, I just hoard it, take out occasionally, and think "it's way too pretty to cut", then put it away. That's how I felt about the LYB Blue Lace paper. But, I wanted something in the background of this LO, not too distracing since I love my pictures to be the focal point, and it just worked. So, I sacrificed it! Totally worth the sacrifice :-)
