Basic Grey Eerie Kit
Wow, have you seen the new Basic Grey paper from Eerie?? It is sooooooo cool! Now, I am a fan of Halloween, and it is one of my favorite things to scrap too. But, I seem to always start with cards.
Here's the Basic Grey Deluxe kit full of goodies HERE:
Here are the first two cards I've created...just since yesterday :0)
Now, I also got to play with a few new items to Lil Lamb's Boutique, (I know, I'm a lucky girl!)...Tim Holtz Rock Candy (be still by heart!) and the Floral and Stone Impressability Die by Spellbinder HERE. You would believe how fast I ripped into that Impressability!! I've been experimenting on everything! First, I did go to the Spellbinder Blog and learned how they create with them HERE, then I started doing my own thing! I cut the pumpkin from Oval Spellbinder Die, using felt, then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist...THEN ran it through the Impressability! What a cool effect this created. I did sandwhich two pieces of typing paper to blot up the extra Glimmer Mist.
On to Rock Candy. Yummy stuff, let me tell you! I colored the bat with my Copic Marker, then covered it in Ranger's Distress Stickles Rock Candy. I hand cut the pumpkins eyes and nose, then touched it with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint, Rock Candy. Can you see all of the cool cracking technique?? I will be using this stuff on everything!!!
Here's another I created just using the paper, and a fabric bow!
I am soooo ready for Halloween :0) Have fun creating!

A little gift...

I just love this paper by Bo Bunny...St. Nick...I am still creating with the KIT that Tammy sent me!
I took some scraps and die cut the tags with Spellbinder Nestabilities, colored my image with Copics (can you see the glitter??? It's so hard to capture in photographs... That was drawn with a Copic Atyou Spica. My heart is all a-flutter when I use those. The glitter is micro fine! Here's a tip...all Copic's you can store vertical since they are air tight EXCEPT for the Spica! These need to be stored horizontal so the tips will not clog with the glitter!)
I used ribbon scraps from the kit, along with the Prima Flowers to decorate the top of my gift bag. I cut the green flower apart and used it as "leaves".
The bag is just a glassine bag that I embossed with an embossing folder :0)
Christmas is less than 100 days away! :0)

Love Shack, Baby!! Card Kit!

Now if this mini card kit doesn't bring a smile to your face...I don't know what would! This one actually grabs you by the arms and shakes you a little to make sure you are awake :-) Bright, fun paper by the ever wonderful Bo Bunny...this collection is called Love Shack! (I hear the B-52's....) In this kit you get the wonderful paper, great trims, and a tiny little bottle of glimmery goodness in the form of Glimmer Mist Dreamsicle. You also get a cool "hello" stamp.
So, the first thing I did was spray the white Prima Flowers with Glimmer Mist and set them aside to dry. Next I cut (yes, you are allowed) my stamp apart. Just make sure you don't cut into the image. By cutting your stamps apart, it gives you a ton of more options. Then I squished the now smaller image into an oval on my stamping block and stamped the image. I cut it out by hand and die cut a scalloped Nestiblities oval. I cut the pom-pom's off and used them as the centers for the flowers!
Everyone would love to get this bright "Hello" from you!

Let's Talk Tags!
I love making little tags, especially if I don't have long to be creative. They are quick and satisfying! Tags have always been fun for me, and I especially love making them for gifts, or even for little cards, so I thought I would show you several I've made recently using the Spellbinders Dies! I know I've talked about these dies before, but they are definitely worth visiting again and again. Very versatile, and make tag making a SNAP!
You can see I have a theme with these: round tags, with a scalloped edge, definitely my favorite combination. Look closely though, you see that I have various combinations of circles and scallop shapes. You can make a very elaborate tag with lots of layers, or keep it fairly plain with one round and one scalloped.

Happy Tagging!

New Scribble Scrabble Gable Gift Box Mini Kit

Start by using the box as your template, cut the sizes smaller than the side you are covering, then round the edges (I used a punch for this). Using my SpellBinder die, I cut a hole for the window, then cut a coordinating frame. I attached the flowers and brads...instant cute! I tied the top with the red tulle, then added a little tag. Last, I made a simple little card.
You will be the hit of the neighborhood if you bring these to a new neighbor...or teacher gift...birthday of someone special...just endless possibilities!
With my scraps, I made two more cards!

Quick little tag!

When I've just a minute to create (which seems to happen a LOT around here...that nap time is just not long enough some days!) I make something little that still will bring a smile to my face. Using the stamp from our kit, I made these birthday tags by cutting shapes from my Spellbinder dies, stamping the image, water coloring the image, then spritzing with Pearl Glimmer Mist. Instant adorable! I love to hang these from doorknobs, or car doors, or simply as a gift tag. You get a ton of use from this month's kit!

~Spellbinder Tags~

I wanted to show just a quick idea using Spellbinder dies and using up some stash that I've been saving! I've been busy organizing my scrap area and decided to make these little tags!

Basic Grey ~~Bittersweet~~ Kit ideas

As usual, Basic Grey has the most beautiful paper lines! Bittersweet is perfect for Valentines Day, or anything about Love! With this kit that Tammy created, I designed two gifts, one a tin (perfect for jewelry...hint, hint gentlemen! Or a gift card fits in perfectly too!) that I covered in paper and slathered in Prima flowers, then spritzed the new Cherry Blossom Glimmer Mist all over! I used the Glimmer Mist to change the color of one on the off white flowers, and deepen the pink of the others, then spritzed it on the tag too. The Melissa Frances key hole is a perfect romantic center to one of the flowers too. I use the lace and wrapped it around the handle, tied the other ribbon into a bow and added a tag I made with my Spellbinder die. This was a quick and beautiful project!
Then I made a HUGE Valentine's Day card for my sweetie! I love how the papers reminded me of a quilt, so I had the idea to make a "crazy quilt" out of the papers. Hence the sentiment, "Crazy in LOVE"!

And there is still enough paper in this kit that after doing both of these projects, I have enough left over to do a layout too! How about you trying to make something special for your sweetie? Take my ideas and see what you come up with!
